This group contains the National Park boundary label, boundary outline and boundary fill area with an outline, all of which are comprised of all the polygons that represent areas set aside for recreation, under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government (Parks Canada) in Alberta.
The National Park dataset provides users with GIS ready polygonal representation of all National Parks in the province of Alberta, and is suitable for indexing or analysis purposes.
National Parks are lands dedicated to the people of Canada for their benefit, education and enjoyment. Lands are maintained and made use of so as to leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations.
This group of layers is not visible beyond the scale of 1:27,733,946.
The National Park group consists of the following:
1) The National Park label layer, where the label symbology and display is controlled by eleven (11) Label Manager view optimized scales.
2) The National Park Outline, a group of seven (7) layers representing the National Park boundary outline, whose symbology is controlled by view optimized scale ranges, starting at 1:27,733,946.
3) The National Park, a group of seven (7) layers representing the National Park boundary polygon fill area with an outline, whose symbology is controlled by view optimized scale ranges, starting at 1:27,733,946.
